Salt Valley Arts offers year-round educational programming with a variety of instructor opportunities for
those who have experience and passion instructing a variety of art mediums and age levels. While all are
welcome to apply, our instructors usually have previous teaching experience and/or a strong studio
practice. Our goal is to provide top-notch art instruction combined with a low pressure and engaging
environment. We are located in the Center for Innovation and Technology Building at EHM Senior
Solutions in the city of Saline, MI. We also teach at a variety of venues for Pittsfield Charter Township
Parks & Recreation.
As a Salt Valley Arts Instructor you receive:

Representation through Saline Community Ed and Pittsfield Twp Parks and Recreation brochures and marketing

Teaching space (based on availability at Salt Valley Arts)

Sale and show opportunities with minimum consignment fee (some jury entry fees may apply)

Reduced fees for Art Meets Business workshops

Use of SVA mailbox and contact info

Annual instructor/student show

Opportunity to participate in group shows at other venues

A membership community for testing new classes and projects

A community of instructors to help with team teaching, planning, or exploring new teaching methods
We ask our instructors to:

Meet with a Salt Valley Arts Educational representative to understand the employment options of our administrative partners

Participate in 3 pro bono* appearances per calendar year. These may include:

Saline District Library “teaser” to promote your class(es)

EHM project or craft sale to give back to our residential community

Another event of your choosing where you represent Salt Valley Arts, as well as our great instructors!

*Pro bono appearances are places or events where we ask you to participate with your talents and promote the arts, broadly, that we offer via Salt Valley! They do *not* include organized retail events, exhibits or classes.
